Developed every five years by the Commissioner for Environmental Sustainability, the State of the Environment report is an assessment of the health of Victoria’s environment – land, water, air and ecosystems.
The 2023 report shows us where we’re doing well and where we need to improve. It presents 15 recommendations to advance the state of Victoria’s environmental monitoring and management systems and capabilities.
