The Victorian Climate Resilience Councils (VCRC) program will support councils across the state to reduce, prepare for, and manage the risks associated with increasing occurrences of heatwaves, storms, flooding and other hazards associated with climate change. The VCRC program received funding under the National Partnership Agreement on Disaster Risk Reduction. Brimbank and Wyndham City Council are co-leading the establishment of the program on behalf of the Western Alliance for Greenhouse Action.
The program is currently in development phase with trialling of program components scheduled May 2023 to February 2024.
